Hello Everyone,
This is really difficult for me because like all of you that I've read and prayed for....I was always on the "giving" end. I've come here several times but always backed out facing the inevitiable one more day alone, refusing to ask for help. Well, I am finally at my wits end and am asking for someone to help me. I am divorced mother of two teenage kids whom I am very proud of and thank God everyday for. My husband went home in 2002 to visit his mother after being laid off and never came back. So I've raised our kids on my own without his support, which was fine until the past few years. 2006 my daughter was diagnosed with ewing sarcoma cancer and they removed her kidney and we went through a year of chemo and radiation. She is now completed 1 year cancer free and off of chemo! So we are truly blessed. My doctor has said that through the stress of it all (my stepfather passed, and helping my sister care for our disabled mother) my health has failed dramatically over the past 6 months. I've been so focused on paying for my medicine and doctor bills (not to mention the already overwhelming debt incurred from my daughters sickness) that I have creditors beating my doors down. Tonight after 5pm they are to cut off my lights. My house payment is behind 2 mths and they are threatening to default on the loan, and so is the car. My daughter is not really able to work yet, but my 17 yr old son is working part time to help out now that school is out for the summer. I went to a heart specialist today he is scheduling a ct scan to determine where the blockages are and if they can do anything to open them instead of stints. Everyone tells me not to worry, that worrying only raises my blood pressure, risking heart failure, yet how do I NOT WORRY....when I am all my kids have....and my world is crashing down around me? Then to complicate things, I come online to see what help I could possibly get and read about people who are in as bad or worse shape than I am. If you can help me , I would be so appreciative. Hopefully I will get past this illness relatively fast and back on my feet helping others again ...... I pray we can straighten up my health without surgery, then I will surely lose my job....everything.....
